When you think of the “ideal couple” to shoot their wedding these two are it. We had great fun shooting Blair and David at their engagement session and we were really looking forward to their wedding in August. The ceremony was held at Glenn United Methodist on the historic Emory campus in Decatur. The bride chose a color scheme of charcoal grey with bright yellow accents. The wedding started out with a few hiccups, not only was it raining monsoon style but Jason decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and slam his hand in the large wooden church doors. Thankfully his hand was not broken although, it did end up missing a few fingernails. Right about the time that happened we found out that the bride’s room was flooding and water was pouring in like a faucet. Even through all of these stressful events the bride and groom were still smiling and very ready to tie the knot! Thankfully, the rain let up just in time to get some outdoor shots after the ceremony and then we headed over to Feast, a fab little restaurant in Decatur. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Hart for choosing JHP to shoot your wedding. We are so thankful that we got to be a part of your special day! N+J

It’s about time… it has been much longer than anticipated since our last blog posting, but getting brides their wedding photos on time took priority. we are embarking on 9 weddings in the next 11 weeks, and hopefully with the assistance of an intern we can keep the blog postings coming!
andrea and daniel’s wedding day started off with a good luck offering of heavy rain and wind, the rain stopped 30 minutes before their outdoor ceremony, and the day finished with a gorgeous sunset. the couple invited us to spend the weekend in Asheville, NC to capture their celebration. both the ceremony and reception were held at taylor ranch, just a short drive from downtown asheville. andrea has been riding horses for years, and this venue suited the couple to perfection. if you are paying attention you may pick-up on the equestrian theme throughout. at the reception you had your choice of dancing inside to the live blues/funk band or hanging out by the fire and making smores. there was something for everyone, and their friends and family had a blast.
andrea and daniel you were a pleasure to work with, and we really glad you chose us. the goal of our photography is to make the bride and groom happy with their photos and proud to show them off. the added bonus is to work with a couple as generous and appreciative as andrea and daniel. i do not know how many times andrea and daniel thanked us on their wedding day when we were just doing our job, but that appreciation makes you want to push that much harder to get them great photos. enjoy!
