• A little about me and JHP:
for years I was an amateur photog, and always had a camera around. when i bought my first dslr camera i was constantly taking photos, looking for new subjects, buying new gear, and pushing myself to try new things. It did not take long to realize that if I wanted to keep feeding my photography addiction I needed another revenue stream outside of my 9:00-5:00 job… and JHP was born.

in my past work life i was a sales executive in the corporate world. JHP started as a small business on the side, and quickly began outpacing my projections. In July of 2010 the day finally came that i realized my passion for photography and my small (but quickly growing) business could support my lifestyle. i immediately jumped feet first into it full-time, and have not looked back.

i am extremely fortunate to have my passion grow into a career. i finally have my dream job, and am focused on continuing to grow this dream.

My family, friends, and employees have been a constant source of help, guidance, and support. Thanks for helping me make a dream come true!

The relationships we build with our clients and the time we take to understand our clients’ goals is the first step to happy clients + happy jhp.

JHP consists of Jason and a team of second shooters, lighting assistants, and interns. Each shoot is different and therefore the team required is tailored to fit the needs of the client.

In 2011, we grew our business primarily through wedding photography. Our stretch goal for 2011 was to shoot 25 weddings. We booked 27 weddings for 2011, and at midnight on Dec 31 we completed shooting 24 weddings in 2011. In 2012 we plan to shoot between 25 and 30 weddings. We are well on our way to hitting our goal for 2012.

In 2011 our business also grew through commercial photography, modeling photography, art photography, and other creative work. We are working to continue growing in these areas while also expanding our geographic and creative footprint in 2012.
