the next few photos were taken in the shopping district which is Germany’s “5th avenue” in “MAINhatten” (nicknamed for the Main River)
^this dude started chasing me trying to get money for taking his photo with his mini horse. his sign translates roughly to: Circus Kramani, thanks for the feed donation for 30 circus animals.^

^there are thousands of locks on this bridge with couples’ names engraved or written on them. the only other time i have seen something like this is at the great wall of china.^
^this is probably my favorite photo that I have taken so far on this trip; it’s a wall hanger also.^
^the frankfurter is kind of a big deal in frankfurt. i don’t know how many meals i had that were sausage, potatoes, sauerkraut, and beer. within 1 day of coming home I was already craving german food.^
^i checked out the museum of modern art, and got to see some of andy warhol’s work. not what i was expecting in frankfurt.^
^this was the first attempt at taking the photo below, long exposure, no tripod, camera moves, and photog just started waving it around in frustration^
^i headed back to the mall to do some people watching… i wanted you to have a feel for the people^

^this was an ancient fortress that is now one of the best damn restaurants in frankfurt^
^germany has tons of street art, that is about as bad as crime gets. ironically this is the side of an old prison.^
^this smart car just gave the middle finger to the jag and bmw that didn’t leave enough room for another car^
^lufthansa airlines had a big party during their strike, and we got to see a free concert. we were not worried, we flew delta.^
^frankfurt is a large banking center in germany, so of course “occupy bankfurt” was there^
^these guys were all set. tepee, check. fireplace, check. coat rack, check. today’s newspaper, check. recliner, check. mini trampoline, check. job, nah.^
^it’s time to leave frankfurt and head to aachen^
^the art is impressive, and so are all of the holes in the wall.^

^the Autobahn was even cooler than i expected. i promise this is the fastest we went…ish (176 kph = 109 mph)^
^it’s crazy to think that 67 years to the day my grandfather was standing in this same place watching all hell break loose, and thanks to him I can sit here and enjoy a beer. i just wish he was sitting across the table with a beer of his own.^
